Who we are

Our website address is: Post Graduate Medical Education (PGME). Postgraduate Education at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Personal data entered by the user when completing contact forms; mainly through the purpose of making contact with us. This data is sent to PGME mailboxes in the same manner as an email.


Cookies used on this website do not include any personal data. Cookies are used for the fundamental Functional purpose of the website i.e.

  • If you log in then several cookies will be saved so the correct screen data is displayed for you
  • If you use the course booking facility to process and online order
  • If you use the Induction Portal

We will not use cookies to collect personal data about you. However, if you wish to restrict or block the cookies which are set by our websites, or indeed any other website, you can do this through your browser settings. The ‘Help’ function within your browser should tell you how. Alternatively, you may wish to visit which contains comprehensive information on how to do this on a wide variety of browsers. These tools may be used to track information about your behaviour on our website, including; page views (URLs), clicks, mouse movements/hovers, scrolling, browser, device, operating system, screen resolution, duration, time on the website, referring url, ISP and approximate ISP location, custom tags or variables. No personally identifiable information (PII) is stored in Google Analytics; we do not collect your IP address, we do not use PII in code which could be stored i.e. “”. This data is stored continuously until such time that we deactivate our account(s) with Google.

Full details on the cookies set by Google are published on the Google website. Google also publishes a browser add-on to allow you to choose that information about your website visit is not sent to Google Analytics.

Mailing list

With your prior consent we may use your personal data to email you information regarding future courses we believe will be relevant and useful to you. However, if you wish to be removed from this mailing list and any point (and would like your personal data erased) you can do so by contacting us.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your data with anyone outside of the Trust. Your data may be shared amongst Trust employees with the purpose of facilitating you a relevant course.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
